Hey everyone I am new to this but have been interested in tattos for a while. I am wanting to get a tattoo but am worried I couldn’t make it through the process…. I’ll explain. I have cerebral palsy and for those of you that don’t know what that is (While cerebral palsy (pronounced seh-ree-brel pawl-zee) is a blanket term commonly referred to as “CP” and described by loss or impairment of motor function, cerebral palsy is actually caused by brain damage. The brain damage is caused by brain injury or abnormal development of the brain that occurs while a child’s brain is still developing — before birth, during birth, or immediately after birth.Cerebral palsy affects body movement, muscle control, muscle coordination, muscle tone, reflex, posture and balance. It can also impact fine motor skills, gross motor skills and oral motor functioning). Now my muscles have a tendency to tighten up uncontrollably at different times I am worried if this happens while being tatted it could be damaging and painful. Any thoughts or advice?

Thanks,

Kris

Welcome. Can you hold your chosen body part still for 30 seconds at a time? I have a friend with CP and it affects her legs more then anything else. Get your tattoo in an area where your CP doesn’t affect.
