    I was thinking of getting a lip piercing

    Leftside, circular barbell with an arrow tip…

    One problem… work…
    Anyone know how fast lip piercings take to heal or when I would be able to take it out and switch with a clear retainer??

    It takes about 4-6 weeks to heal. I’ve had my lip piercing for over 2 years and it’s the easiest and most comfortable piercing I’ve ever gotten 😛 Easy to hide, easy healing and usually doesn’t leave a noticable scar.

    If you take really good care of it, I’d say about 2-3 weeks minimum. I changed mine to a smaller stud after about 2 1/2 weeks.

    I love mine. I play saxophone and as soon as the swelling went down (about 2 weeks), I could play just as good as before. It’s on the left side. At concerts I put a small star shaped stud in and no one ever notices it.

    if your not adverse to a little discomfort then you can swap it to a retainer after ad day or a couple of days.

    i have changed the jewelery in piercings after a day to something different. just make sure it is clean and make sure youy take care of your piercing.
