I just recently got two tattoos. One is nearly 24 hours old. The other about 6 hours old.

They’re both very small. About an inch and a half long. And they’re on my upper shoulder blades.

I’ve had the bandage off the oldest one all day and it’s doing great. It’s been stinging a bit, but nothing I can’t handle. I still have the bandage on the other one since I’ve only had it for about six hours.

I’ve known plenty of people who have gotten tattoos. But, I’ve never seen anyone have to care for two at the same time, much less in the locations in which I have mine. I want to take a shower, but, I have long hair and I’m concerned that my wet hair may cause damage to the tattoos. I’m also worried that shampoo, soap, or just the water will harm them.

So, am I clear to take a shower soon?

And, any other tips one may have for caring for these in the days to come would be great as well!
