i’ve been hearing so many different things, i just want different opinions. i know its normal for my tat to scab, but is this going to pull up all the color? i have a small black star on the inside of my wrist, it’s my 1st, and i’m totally in love, so i dont wanna screw up the healing. i’ve been using a&d ointment for 3 days, and i just started mosturizing it with lubriderm lotion [unscented and everything]. should i not mosturize as much, should i wash it everyday? thanks everyone.

Yes, scabs can pull out color. That’s why you have to make sure not to pick at them and let them fall off on their own. You’re tattoo is going to be a little lighter than when it was originally done, but that’s normal. When I got mine done I washed it every day and put lotion on, but you don’t want to moisturize it too much. Call the tattoo parlor to make sure you’re doing everything they directed. I did when I was unsure and they were glad to help.

You should wash it gently…scabbing is normal. Just don’t go scratching it. If it itches just use your lotion. I f all else fails and your still worried go call the person that did it….I have 3 stars on thetop of my foot….I love stars! Good luck
