    Just got a new tat and was not given aftercare instructions. I know about using A&D antibiotic, but cannot get any until tmrw morning. Can I use band-aid brand antibiotic ointment? Its all I have and I don’t want my tat getting infected. It is petroleum based and has neomycin.

    you might can go to a drug store web site and compare the active ingrediants to see if they are the same. If so then it would be safe to use.

    yes use ad oinment but until the morning time use some lotion that works too but not for long so tomorrow morning get the ad and make sure not to pick the scab when you tat does that …it fades the color out have fun!

    All you basically doing is keeping it moist. They used to tell us to use vaseline. Use what you have till tomorrow, it will be fine.
