    Hi all

I’m hoping that some of you will have a similar experience, or can give me some reassurance about my healing tattoo.

I had it done 10 days ago, and am using bepanthen.
About 4-5 days after, the tattoo started to flake, now most of the initial ‘scab’ is gone. The tattoo itself is raised and warm to touch and looks milky. I’m guessing that this is just how this particular tattoo is healing for me? I have had other tattoos which have healed fine and from memory, one of them had a couple of milky patches which took longer to heal. It’s mainly the raised bits that have me worried!

    Thanks

Maybe a little infection, I wouldn’t worry you’ll live. Get uptight if it still isn’t right in another week.

Thanks – It’s looking a little better now and isn’t warm to touch. It’s still a bit raised, but beginning to have a second flake. Still tender in places too, I guess the wrist (for me) is just a sensitive place to be inked 😮

The warm feeling was your body fighting an infection.

I dont know why it is peeling again.. It sounds like you might have been tattooed by a burger boy. I havent seen the tattoo so I dont know for sure, but it sounds like you paid for a nasty scar.

The wrist is always a sensitive place to be tattooed, the artist should have known to be extra careful with the delicate skin.

You should show us pictures. Make sure you’re keeping it very clean and uncovered. It needs to breathe.
