I am unavoidably going to be in the sun all day next sunday. It will have been exactly 19 days since i got my tattoo done.
Do i
a) Risk putting sunblock on a tattoo that hasnt quite fully healed, maybe cause some irritation
OR
b) no sunblock, but risk quite a fair bit of sun damage

i really want to look after this tattoo to preserve the colour. Please give me some advice on this situation
(and no, i cannot wear a long-sleeved shirt that day).

Thanks

I would get the highest spf sunblock you can find and use that. It might irritate the tat a little (not much- your alomst healed really) and apply every 2 hours. Also, stay in the shade if it’s at all possible and if not try to keep your arm out of the sund but using your body to block it.

You definitely don’t want to expos it to the sun rays all day. If you are worried about putting sun screen on it then you should find a way to cover it with something.

Worst thing you could do is expose an not permanently healed tattoo to the sun

Wear along sleeve t-shirt if you have to
