I think they are pretty. They are becoming extremely common though. Sometimes you just have to get what you want, no matter what. It doesn’t always matter how many people before you have done the same thing. It’s a personal choice for whatever reason.

I think that too many people have tattoos these days, so I don’t want to get one anymore. I don’t want to be like everyone else!

Some are pretty, I like the unique ones that the artist & the tat wearer spend time coming up with. But, in all honesty, I don’t see many unique wings anymore. A brilliant idea that’s becoming more and more unoriginal and “blah,” kinda like tribal arm bands. They used to look neat when a few people had them, but now every guy with muscles gets it.

    it’s just a trend.
5 years from now, it will either be classified as classic or a eternal reminisance of ‘good old days’

i agree w/ lana. i don’t like to get things that everyone else has cuz tattoos to me are meaningful & unique to the individual. but if someone finds angel wings personal, they should go right ahead.

I think tattoos are generally unattractive. Especially if they cover a large portion of your body (e.g. back). If they have no spiritual/personal meaning behind them, they seem pointless and stupid. I know I wouldn’t ever get one because I wouldn’t want it a year later.

i think people need to be a little more imaginative and get their own tattoos.. stop copying other peoples ideas.

If they look good yeah, I like them. But if it’s the same design seen on tons of people I don’t. If you want a tattoo have the artist design one especially for you.

I have my back covered with my wings, and I didn’t get mine “just because it looks cool”. It’s something I’ve wanted since I was a young teenager, because of the childhood I had I wished I could just fly away from my house, not having to deal with the drug problems going on around my life. A t-shirt I had ages ago says “I wish I could fly…” and with these wings yeah I can’t fly, but being older now I know I have gotten past those problems and wanted a tattoo of wings to remind me that although life can suck, it does eventually get better. It may take 5+ years for the drug problems to go away, and for the family members to be out of jail and whatnot for those problems, but it did get better. So that’s why I got my wings.

i never really liked them, because people usually get them so small and simple that it looks weird, and disporportionate, but i just met this girl in my photo class and OH MY GOD my jaw dropped in awe at her wings. they start at her shoulders at the base of her neck and go alll the way down to her butt, and they are natural colors, and have sooooo much detail in each feather that it actually LOOKS real. she said that shes put in almost 16 hours of work on it at least and that she has about 4-6 more hours to go if shes lucky, and that shes already spent about 3 grand on it. they can look really good as long as you have the money, the time, and the right artist, but other wise it just looks terrible.
