    Hey :]
I’m pretty young, 15 turning 16, but I will be getting my first tattoo within the next few months.
I’ve chosen one that means a lot to me- the words “Hey, smile. Don’t cry anymore.” in Japanese Kanji. They’re lyrics from one of my favorite songs (it’s japanese, of course.)
I was wondering, do I have to find the kanji myself before I go to the parlour? If so, how have some of you found your kanji?
Or does the tattoo artist somehow work it out? =/

Kanji is very popular so in a lot of tattoo studios they have a limited amount of kanji and it’s meanings there.
There’s probably websites where you can translate English in to Kanji but be careful because I’m sure some dont translate exactly.
This website looks interesting though I didnt have a proper look at it myself.
