    I want to get a tattoo. I’ve been contemplating this for a while but still haven’t decided. I want something that isn’t stupid; something that will still be meaningful to me 10, 20, 30+ years down the line.

    One of my favorite bands is The Matches. In one of their songs, the lyrics say, “Let down your skin, let the wind blow through your veins,” and I want thinking of getting those lyrics in a nice font across my upper back.

    Any feedback?

    The lyrics sound very nice. I like the idea.

    How you feel about your tattoo will fluctuate with your moods. If things are going badly on some days you may draw strength on it, others you may curse it, or feel nothing at all.

    I have a passage on me about how much I love my wife, but some days you think damn that is mocking me 😉 (usually when I see how many shoes she has bought).

    The main thing is that you have a decent job done that you are happy with.

    I would suggest thinking carefully on placement – do you like to wear open back dresses/tops? If you do – do you want your tattoo on show all the time?
