Hi everyone, im new to this forum. Im 18 and have been thinking of getting a tattoo for a long time now and am pretty set on a design. Its my name Daniel in arabic, which also means “God is my judge”. I have chosen the font for it and want it on the inside of mt forearm. I was just wondering if you could advise me on what it would cost and what sort of colours it would look best in, as i was thinking getting it in full black. Thanks in advance, Danny.
Hi Daniel
First of all make sure you get it translated properly before you ink.
I personally would not trust a translation site – goto a professional who can speak/write the language as there are a lot of nuances in both Arabic and Hebrew.
Are you sure you want it on your forearm?
I have changed careers a number of times and every place had a no visible ink policy.
Long sleeves in a hot summer suck badly 🙁
I would maybe suggest the chest or upper arm area gives yo more scope for employment and/or a future tattoo sleeve.
For something like that to be honest I would suggest black and shade – it is possible to do colour but I personally think that black on text stands out a lot better.
You can always get colour drop shading or it adding to.
Take Care
Matthew
I have to agree with Matthew on pretty much everything he just said. There’s nothing worse getting something tattooed on you in a foreign language, then finding out there’s a spelling mistake, grammatical error or it just has a different meaning to what you first thought. I’d also reconsider the forearm too, sometimes it’s handy being able to hide a tattoo for work reasons. As for price, it depends on the artist and size you want to get it.
Again I agree with the upper posts. Now for cost, where I live artists charge 80-100 an hour and they could defanitly have that banged out in that time. I have Tical on my back that is a nice size and it cost me 120 I belive.
Dan your name in arabic will be spelt different in every arabic speaking country they is .
normally daniel is Danyal because thats the islamic prophet danyal.
also they is so different styles of islamic writing
