My idea, though pretty common, is awesome in my opinion. I want to get a tattoo of my kids on my right arm… now I don’t have any kids yet I’m 21 and in college still, but since I have no tattoos and since they are pretty permanent and since I want it to be near perfect and it has lots of meaning behind it I am planning now. This is how I want it…

I plan on having 2-3 kids and I want them all to fit on my right arm. I want it to be a picture of their faces at about 3-4 years old with their name in some kind of script under each picture. I want it to be all flowery around it. A good example would be Eminem’s tattoo of his daughter

I’d like nearly the same thing but smaller so I can fit three on the same arm, and without the bonnie and clyde and the car.

I have questions: Should I get color or just black? Which one lasts longer in terms of fading? Will it be good? I want this to be…. good, should I just go for the most expensive then? Or ask around my area for the best artist?

EDIT: Another question I just thought of. I am a lifeguard over the summers (and will be until I am physically unable too), which means I am in the sun….. a lot. How long until I can let the tattoo be in the sun after I get it, and should I get the tattoo over the winter then?

Have the kids before you get tattooed. As for the sun question, you’d need to keep it out of the sun for like 6 weeks, and even then you’d have to sunscreen it all the time being a lifeguard. The sun really damages tattoos…
