i had a heart tattoo done and the red ink didnt seem to really stick… why is that?
anyone have any input?
It could be several issues. It might be the ink wasnt applied to your skin right. Or the after care wasn’t the best. Some people dont take red ink very well. Your question was kinda vague, that’s probably why the lack of response. Hope this helps.

i got the tat yesterday. i though the color should look the brightest right after getting it done and then fade later…
he used intenze ruby red so the quality of ink isnt the issue.. he used a 9 mag to fill it in… it doesnt really look like much of the red actally stayed…
Post a pic. Whos the artist and where do they work? Reason I ask is that most times when someone posts on this forum asking this very same question, it usually turns out that the tat was done by your buddy in a trailer or his apartment or prison. You also know more about needle gauge and ink brands than most noobs which means you’ve discussed it with your “guy”. Most artist would not discuss needle choice and whatnot with the customers. I would get tested for HEP and then go to a real tattooer for touch-ups.
