Hullo everybody, I am “almost” convinced to proceed with my first tattoo…

It will be simple, just three names to be tattoed in different part of the body. Below you can see the names written using a number of different fonts, among which I am going to decide.

My question is: besides a purely esthetical opinion (which is welcome, anyway!), which of these fonts are more suitable for a tattoo? Consider that the size is going to be pretty small, I am thinking about 6/7 cm.

Any other suggestion is appreciated, thank you.

If you’re “almost” convinced to get a tattoo, my advice is that you dont get it. This is something that will be with you for life. If you don’t walk into your tattoo utterly convinced what you’re getting is awesome, then you’re a damn fool.

I’m relatively sure that while fonts #8 and #26 look badass, as a tattoo they’d smudge together and being to look like a blob over time. So those are out.

Love. Peace. Metallica.

A good artist should be able to do any of those fonts, although the ones with a lot of brush strokes would probably look like shit unless you go huge.

To be honest, none of those fonts look that good. :/

And just like KnightHawk said, if you’re “almost” convinced to get your first tattoo, don’t do it.
If you have to convince yourself to get a tattoo, it’s probably not a good idea. I never had to convince myself to get my first tattoo cause I always knew I was going to be tattooed.

Thank you guys for your answers.

Well, regarding the first point: let’s say I am quite convinced; I choose those names just ‘cose I’m sure I will never regret it.

@Imperial: would you show me some font you would like? Just to see what you mean… Thank you.

A.

I’ve always liked script, but done right and without all the extra stuff in it like brush strokes, you can get some nice clean lines.

Search for more fonts, there’s thousands upon thousands of different style fonts. It would be hard for me to narrow done the ones I like.

I will say #23 is the only I like from that list. There’s just far better fonts out there. 😉

Nothing wrong with that, just don’t get your OWN name, which so many people seem to be doing.

lol I saw that for the first time at the gym the other day. It’s like your mom writing your name in your underwear – except you’re no longer 5. 😡

Make your wife’s name easy to cover up. You may change your mind about her some day when you find out she has been putting antifreeze in your ice tea. (fuck I watch to much TV.)
