What does everyone think about getting a tattoo of someone else’s name?
Here is an article about why you should never do it. My sister wrote it, and yes, she has a tattoo of her ex’s name. Even though they have been divorced for over 2 years, she still hasn’t covered it up, even with the opportunity. Check it out,

Bad move unless it’s family. And no, marriage does not equate to family.
I do have my partner’s name on me, which goes against what I just wrote, but the reason is this: the tattoo focuses on my history, and my kids. My kids are my life, my everything. And without him, I don’t have them. So his name, along with my kids, is written on my arm in Ogham.
Most people who get names are doing so because of the “love” or “romance” aspect. I think if you are getting it for those reasons, don’t do it.
Even if my partner and I split up (which nearly happened a few years back), I wouldn’t cover his name on my arm. It would be disrespectful to my kids to try to eradicate half of them, because that’s what he is.
I’m really sorry if I’m rambling…I’m really sick and more than a little out of it. =)
