Hello everyone, after years of wanting a tattoo I finally went to a reputable artist last Saturday 27/10/12. She did the tattoo but the top left hand heart looks as though it’s bled into my skin.
I would value your opinions on what’s gone wrong, and if it can be rectified.
Thanks Guys.
how dumb am I? I’m not sure how to upload a pic
Looks like a blow out. how old is it in this pic?
I took it yesterday, four days after having it done.
Deffinatly look’s like a blowout, however wait 2 weeks there is a chance it could be bruising.
Thank you for your post, if it’s bruising would it be in the same colour as the outline of the hearts? I think I’m grasping at straws hoping it is bruising, but its in the same green as the tattoo.
It’s probably a blowout, but bruising can take all sorts of colors so give it about a month and see how it looks after that.
thar she blows!
Welcome M.M.
Can it be rectified? I would definatly get a second opinon from another artist before attempting repairs.
Personally I would consider a slight background, but I’m new to tattooing myself.
As others have said, it looks like a blowout, which is usually a sign of an inexperienced artist.
Just as a matter of interest, if it’s a ‘blowout’ would it have looked like this when I came out of the studio? Because it was fine then. (still clutching at straws) ๐

No, probably not. When done properly, the ink stays put. When the artist goes too deep, the ink can migrate, which is what a blowout is.
