A tattoo artist (in a different country) who has done almost half of my 7 tattoos opened her own shop last year. I’ve been meaning to get her a gift for the great work she’s done, as well as having her own shop. I scheduled an appointment for a tattoo in a couple of months and would like to give her something appropriate.
One idea I had was a small ink set (about 6 to 10 colors). Would this be an appropriate gift? Would it be offensive to an artist getting this?
I think it sounds like a nice idea. I have given art, books, art sets, taxidermy and cash.
Its the thought that counts 🙂
If they are inks that she uses then maybe but she has done 3 of your tattoos you should know a little of something about her I think you could come up with something a little better.

I would go with something other than a consumable. I like to give clocks as gifts.
Look for a wild clock for her shop.
Even one personalized can be rather economical.
I like the prints idea, though I’m limited in the size of what I can fit in a suitcase. I think I’ll go with a book that relates to her tattoo style.
