Hey guys!
A little while ago, I got this tattoo. It’s not completely finished yet, and I’m happy I didn’t get it finished. I decided I didn’t really like it anymore and wanted to go with a half-sleeve design. The problem is, I can’t figure out what to go with in the half-sleeve, and how to cover this tattoo up good…
Any suggestions?
*** There is 3 rows of bullets, only on the outside of my arm right now. I was going to finish it by wraping the bullets around my arm, and then getting it colored. I decided to completely cover it up with a sleeve from my shoulder to my elbow.*** (Just need some ideas for the sleeve… )

First off, your going to be very limited as far as a cover up(and i mean limited) So the best possible thing you can do is go to a very good artist(and i mean really good) to discuss possible designs, themes etc. It looks like a possible japanese or oriental dragon full sleeve can be achieved(but of course done by a professional who knows his shit)
What kinds of themes are you into?
and you said half sleeve, to be honest i think that limits you even more.
Take this lightly though becasue i am not an artist, this is all just my opinion on what i’ve seen over the many years of getting tattoo’d

Well actually, I thought of maybe even doing a tribal half sleeve, and having them bullets show a little bit behind them and have the tribal over it… ? I’m thinking hard about it. I need to figure something out..

Marcus’s post and your reply gave me a wild idea that may solve your sleeve issue.
Why not have a metallic japanese dragon?
The head could have a metal chrome effect (see third link below) and the body could be shaped from the bullets – you would have to rework them to add some metallic scales and maybe add a bladed tail and claws etc but i think a pro artist could work those bullets into scales and have the points as the spines across the back.
