HAHA wow, I hope I didnt put that in the email!! what would be the correct term??” tattooed”??“Tattooed” is much better than “tatted.” It just sounds like you know more of what you’re talking about, I think top artists would prefer to work with clients who had a clue as opposed to people throwing around slang tattoo…[Read more]

Why the hell are people still responding to this thread…this kid is likely long gone and hasn’t even commented in his own thread. He’s going to do whatever he wants anyways.

One suggestion is to NOT ask these top artists about being “tatted” because most artists hate made up words like that.

…Adler…I just checked out your album. That pinup tattoo is killer, I really like it.Thanks, I wanted a tattoo to represent my love for motorcycles and women and didn’t want a typical HD tattoo so I went with the pinup (even though she’s not on a HD) after I saw the original print from Gil Elvgren.

I tend to agree with Adler on this one, but at the end of the day, you have to wear it and be happy with it. But I think you might be happier leaving it as-is. Makes for a better story, looks a little classier. You know? But at the end of the day, its your ink. Do what makes you happy, then wear it loud and proud!

If I had a tattoo artist that looked like that, I’d be broke and covered head to toe. Probably even get some lasered off and go again…I agree, and for anyone who actually thinks Kat von D is hot please check out this lady.

Sorry but that linework is very poor as has already been stated. If this artist did that kind of linework on me i would not let him finish it. If this artist can’t execute consistent lines how can you have any confidence in his shading skills?

Looks good so far but why the hell would you need to add your last name to it? Do you not know who you are? In my opinion finish the crest and move on, don’t fuck it up by adding a name. It’s a tattoo, not a football jersey. Thanks for posting the picture.
I just noticed in your intro that you’re from NY so I’m curious who’s doing your tattoo.…[Read more]

It obviously covers the preexisting tattoo well but to be honest overall I really don’t like the execution of the new piece. It doesn’t look poorly done but I think it seems a little flat and could have been better with more depth, especially in the skin tears.

I’m not an artist and I’m not very creative, either, so I probably can’t help with specific ideas. But if you like that second stanza, find a good custom artist and the two of you could probably come up with something nice. You could also translate that verse literally and maybe just do a tattoo of figure from behind who’s standing on the edge of…[Read more]

Wow, that’s a huge booking. How did you manage to secure a spot with him, I thought he didn’t take new clients in the U.S. anymore. He’s coming to Off the Map but only doing returning clients I think.
Being from CT, I’m also familiar with Lou Jacque. Whereabouts is he in MA now and what’s the shop? He used to be really hard to book also.
