I like it. One session? How long did you sit?
One long sitting about 7 1/2 hours of just tattooing plus almost 3 more of prepping
Its well done, cool piece. I agree with Buttwheat about some colors but overall it’s very solid. Not very often do you a see a traditional piece on this forum, don’t expect much love.

okay. thanks for the suggestion! ill check them out and thank you of your honest opinion buttwheat!
I’m from danbury/brookfield. i went to Leo at The Art Club in new milford.
In New Milford there’s Skin Deep with Mark Duhan, that’s a good shop.

Are you willing to travel at all maybe an hour or two for something that is for life?
The proportion is off on the links from one to another in his attempt to show depth, the shading and saturation are poorly done I don’t think it is just your tattoo I think it is his skill level but good choice not going to the crackhead, I googled some 7 shops in your area and yes they all suck. drive the 33miles and get some real work done Hope Gallery Tattoo – New Haven, CT
Buttwheat I’m curious which shops you looked at? I think there’s at least one pretty good place not far from him, although you are definitely correct about Hope Gallery.
I’m from CT, I missed who the artist was that did this? I can definitely recommend good artists in the state, where abouts are you from?
Nice, I have an appointment with him in January.

Cool looks good. The sword tip looks a bit broad to me but overall great looking piece.
I agree. I like the tattoo and the design and I especially like the tiger head but I think the sword could have been designed better. Good stuff though.

Traditional has really grown on me. I didn’t like it too much before, but now I want to cover my body with traditional and new-traditional. Can’t stand realism though. I like my tattoos to last! ;D
I think her work looks solid!
I’m pretty much the same and although I love my one realism tattoo I’m not sure I’d get more.
It’s actually mostly traditional American tattooing and done fairly well.
I actually have more of an altered 3D “heartagram” type thing on my chest and it has nothing to do with HIM, it also has meaning as an adoption symbol. Mine is also well done, too, though.

Eh I guess I have no need to. I love B/G, but in a neo traditional look I think the color pieces look way better. I like b/g for realistic looking pieces, but I prefer color for traditional or neo traditional tattoos. He’s had all sorts of ideas, but left off talking about getting a rose compass and a sun in b/g, seems kind of plain to me.
He’s also talked about getting a day/night theme, which is why I think he’s best off going to an artist that can work with him and draw up a custom piece rather than two separate images of a sun and rose compass.
I admit I agree with this. While I definitely like nicely done B/G and I’ve seen some nice neo-trad pieces without color I think traditional and neo-traditional styles lend themselves more to looking better when done in color than other styles.
