I have the same thing with the pimples. Mostly where the heavy ink is. More pimples after a hard workout. So it makes sense about the clogged pores. My ink is about 4 months old. How long till the pores open up? What should I be doing as maintenance on my tattoo?

Thanks
Terry

Sherry you can do a lot with the star. You could turn it into a 3D star. You can use the red as a back ground for anything you want inside the star. Many possibilities. The Kanji can be the start of a much bigger piece. I would go to a artist and have him draw some ideas up.

Some people on this site can be down right cruel. What gets me is how some people think they know what you are thinking. She must know there bad she must have a reason for asking. You’re right she ask because she wants other people’s opinion. That’s all. Amazing. If you don’t like the tats say so and maybe offer your expert advice on how you would make it better. Why try and make someone fell bad about something that is permanent on their body. I know she asked. That’s BS.

Sherry I give you all the credit in the world for getting a tat. Takes guts. As long as you are pleased with them thats all that matters.

nice font etc — but I always fail to see what is the artistic merit or point of having your OWN name on your skin ?

– no-one else is going to be impressed with it – and you’re not likely to forget it are you !

– saying that – it is nicely done !

In that respect what’s the sense of fish, cats, dogs, swords, ninja warriors, or anything on your skin. It’s there simply because HE wanted it.

Nice tat. I like the font.

Hi J Welcome to the forum.

I’m pretty new to this forum also. I have two tattoos and learned alot here. What I did is look at a ton of tattoo pictures then picked a few that I really liked. I printed them out tried them on. Cut them out then looked at them for many days. After I settled on the one I liked I took it to my artist friend that does my tats. He worked up ideas and we talked and changed things enough to make it a one of a kind piece. Worked for me I’m very happy with the two I have. I’m working on my third.:D Check out my album. Let me know what you think.

Boost I waited almost 8 months for this tattoo. I wanted to make sure everything was just the way I wanted it. Plus going back and forth with the artist. Finally got it done a week ago. What do you think?

Thanks everyone for the good words. I really like this ink. A lot of thought and energy went into it. It took months to find just the right tattoo and then to make it mine with a lot of input from the artist. I think it was worth it. There is a lot of meaning in it.

Best advise I can give. “When a wise man argues with a fool it’s hard to tell who the wise man is.” He sounds like a jerk. Probably on steroids. You handled it well.
