After such experiences, you still have the guts for other tattoo? You’re my hero. So, if you’ll ever make another one, what would it be?
Hahaha nah i was just an idiot!
My next tattoo is of the Cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland but the American Magee version should be sweet and then just carry it on into a sleeve ๐ I’ve had a fair few since the bad experiences, got one sleeve, leg, both shoulder blades and some others on my other arm which will now be turned into a sleeve…
Having my first Sleeve (with the fabled coverup) finished in August, the commute to Somerset from Athens isn’t exactly easy haha, so just once a year if I’m lucky!
Have you got any tattoos coming up? or ideas of new ones?

Why not just go for some proper white highlights instead? ๐
It is indeed a cool idea, I thought it was rad the first time I saw it.
And sure, many people have UV ink in their tattoos, and have had no trouble with it. The problem is that we don’t know the long-term effects on the body, and the possibility of slowly poisoning yourself doesn’t quite seem worth the risk… ๐
Yh that is a nice idea actually and if done right will look lush, and you are right of course I just wanted to check with a wider community cos you never know its a cool idea but if its gonna poison you then its really not worth it! Thanks for the advice ๐

The question is why would you want a UV tattoo, I have a few friends who have them. They are shit.
Just as an accent to normal ones, thats fair enough if you have seen them and they are shite, I just was asking cos I was interested but not anymore really, its a cool idea but if they look really shit then whats the point.
6: Upload 3 at a time if ya have more than that you can add more after the first 3.
Does it have to be 3 at a time?

I’m pretty sure it’s forbidden in the EU now. Very strict rules when it comes to tattoo ink, and UV ink is just a no-go.
Clearly you need some pretty hardcore chemicals to make it light up, and the risk involved is just too big.
And don’t trust what you see on tv. I’ve seen people get tattooed while on the back of a moving jeep, off road, on tv. Doesn’t mean that it’s a good idea! ;P
Yh ok well Jackass is a bit different ๐ but ya know it is a tattoo competition show with some fairly famous people in the industry so it was easier to believe it…….

I’ve never heard anyone say anything positive about it – It seems to be harder to heal and many people complain of general discomfort in the area for a long time after tattooing. I think it’s a novel idea, but it’s really not even safe stuff to smear ON your skin, much less IN your skin.
Get a real tattoo in a place you can live with, says the social conservative.
Yh I have don’t get me wrong, but I’m always open to something new….. I am getting the Cheshire cat from American Magees Alice and it would be a nice little touch if the face sorta lit up (only a thought)…. its a shame because it could be cool. I only was thinking to add touches ya know. I know the glow in the dark stuff is really bad because it contains Phosphorus….
looks Like I’ll be staying with the normal best option really.

If your chosen tattooist can’t draw up your tattoo you have the wrong tattooist for the job. Sounds like the tattooist you have chosen may not be the right one for the job. where are you at we can help you find the right one?
I’m in Athens, Greece. Lonis Tattoo is just up the road they are awesome but i have been going to the same guy for like 10yrs nearly….. I sort of feel bad ya know? specially as its a sleeve and he has started….. isn’t it a bit rude to have someone else to finish it?

You can upload them into your tattoo photos in your profile here or you can upload them onto a photo hosting sire like photobucket or similar then copy and paste the address here.

Really????
Just ask someone that has had it in their skin for 20 years.
oh ok, have you/ or know some that has had it for 20 years? Sorry I have never seen it in real life and thought that a tattoo forum was the right place to ask………
@Amok 128779 wrote:
Your best bet is to ask your tattoo artist to design it for you, that’s part of the job!
Yes that is very true, I will ask of course but sometimes there are artists that love the style and it’s all them and I just thought if someone like that reads this and they love blood puddin and even my idea…. then they would design something special.
I’ll ask my guy anyway, he is good, does like dark stuff but Pinups and that seem kinda specialist…….. I dunno I’ll ask….
But if anyone does love the idea and wants to help then lemme know too ๐
Um…… Can someone tell me how to upload photos?
Thanks

Welcome mate, yep pics would be nice ๐
I will do my best to find the before pics, the pic i will post is of the cover cover, but it has lost quite a lot of colour so you can see the monstrosity underneath lol, ah i wish i kept the pics after moving house, it was award winningly shite. I used to go ask for a cover and the whole tattoo studio would come check it out and finally i found a guy in the south west of the uk who is awesome ๐
Will try post pics soon as i work out how to post them ha ha
Thanks,
Yh well i’ll have a look but it was a while ago, I’ll post a pic of how it is now, it needs a bit more ink pushed in again to help cos the ink one person used left my skin almost like rubber! but it should show how dire it was, and in august I’m getting touch ups (I have to go to UK from Greece so can go like once a yr!) then i’ll post again and keep going till this is basically gone, there is no completely covering it but as long as he draws the attention enough, we’re all good ๐
