OK scrub have at it with the queen stuff but this by far the coolest set of tattoos I’ve ever seen.

He has more then you can see but I wasn’t sure if I could post a nude one of him. They even go up into his scalp.
I do, but I’m trying to think of how many of my gay freinds have ink and really there aren’t that many. The leather guys of course all do as do the gay biker guys as well as piercinngs. PAs and nipple piercings are popular. I’ll bet the percentage of gay guys with tats is somewhere around 25%. Gay men can be incredibly conservative – it always amazes me.
As far as I’m concerned that is reason #2 for having a tattoo. Tattoos are hot.
That’s awsome. I think that’s what tats are supposed to do – protect us.
Human nature is to label and look down on those who may not share our lifestyle, or fit into our clan. Bullshit it is, but it will never change, a minority will always exist in some form or another, and the majority will always be there to kick them to the gutter!
I think the fact that we were raised in different countries may have some bearing on our difference of opinion. We’re obnoxiously individualistic here in the states. Anyway, I doubt a young women with a tattoo on her lower back would be treated like a whore in any circle that I know of or kicked to the gutter. This isn’t 1950. Live and Let Live
I love the idea ‘fuck the system’ but I enjoy living and being a part of society so ‘fuck society’ is not something I can follow.
I would expect you to understand this more than most, being gay will have been a struggle at time in certain environments. Walking down the road all loved up arm in arm with your partner, giving him a kiss as you part on the street to go oposite directions has never been acceped in the way and hetro couple would beable to do the same thing. If you want to do that, then again it is 110% fine, but expect a certain degree of social rejection and don’t complain about it. You know how it is and it is your choice.
This is not about being right or wrong, it is about society and understanding where we stand within others views, sometimes it is just easier to comply to a certain point.
Ramble finished.
Well stated yet shallow sentiment. If we accept society’s subjective hang ups then we are doomed to live with them eternally but if we rebel we stand the slightest chance of evolving. Why do you think we can even talk about gay marriage today? Beacuse some of us dared to reject an unfair and subjective system design by old crabby whtie guys.
I agree whole heartedly with this suggestion – some battles just aren’t worth the trouble. Next year you’ll be able to do what you want.
My artist and I were just talking about this. He said that your body actually takes a lot of energy to heal a tattoo – the more the coverage the more it takes. So your immune system can be comprimised. He said that at one point he was getting so much work done in such a short period of time that it actually made him sick. Also for that reason you should only get tattooed if you are healthy. Even a cold or flu can make you more suseptable to infection. So I would wait until what you have is completely healed before getting another on. That amount of time can be different for each person.
The idea is… what kind of MESSAGE do you want to send to others around you?
Are you like a republican or something? You sound like my mother.
Who cares what message my appearence sends to others. if they don’t take the time to get to know me then f**k ’em. I can’t stand that kind of subjectivity – do what please you and only you.
Nice guns dude! The centepedes are great too – have you named them yet? lol
Just give us some ideas about what you might want. Like size, color or black and white, are you thinking anything content wise. This may sound crackers to you but my tattoos have to give me special powers – they have to be magical. My Buckeye butterfly protects me from my enemies while my salmon helps me swim smart and fast with purpose and also celebrates water with me. Silly, maybe, but I think that’s why we started tattooing our bodies to begin with. Do some brain storming with us – what magical powers do you require?
I think it depends on where you live and the age group you are dealing with. I live in St. Louis, MO in the states which is a liberal bubble in a very conserviative state. Around here most people over 50 associate tattoos with trailer trash and bikers but under 50 well….. we all have them. I swim at my gym and I would say that at least 80% of the guys that are under 50 have them. And this is a very affluent neighborhood in the greater St. Louis area. Also we have a gazillion tattoo studios and they are always crowded with people of every age and type. Tattoo are definitely becoming much more accepted then they were just a few years ago, at least in my neck of the US.
St. Louis is no tourist destination but we have Mo. I’ve never used her but I’ve seen her work – phenomenol.
See it here.
Oh, no, not another stereotype.;)
