I think around five words for a text tattoo is fine. Less is usually better because then it could be done bigger, and bigger allows for more style. I think nice, fancy handwritten script makes a great tattoo (and also calligraphy).

If you have long hair, the back of your neck would be a good spot. It’s a symmetrical design, so center makes sense. Easy to hide, easy to show off.

Does it have to have background? A skull and a rose would make a fine tattoo without anything else around it.
And if you really must have that background, ask your tattooer. Especially if it’s that tattooer’s original design.

why would u rule out a skull or snake ? you have two dragons.

Don’t even try to add to it or cover it. Laser for sure.

I’m tired of tattooing quotes. I have a 5 word maximum. It bums me out that it’s so popular. Every tattooer I know hates doing them, yet they seem to be the most popular these days. I wish tattooers and tattoo collectors agreed on subject matter.

How about skip the finding the font part and just have your tattoo artist create it? A good tattooer should be able to write script, and also design that half-sleeve.

The tattoo is complete. It’s solid black tribal. Can’t stand out anymore than it already does. Move on.
