My guess is in isn’t ink rejection. It’s probably poor technique and your skin was overworked and scarred, causing ink to fall out.
I’m curious to see how big the tattoo is for it to be a 10-hour masterpiece. Please post photos. -

Your tattoos look fine and you should just leave them be. If you want more tattoos, then just get some more tattoos. You don’t have to build off of your existing ones.

Your drawings are actually tattooable. Keep it up and build up your portfolio. You will eventually land an apprenticeship.

Print it out and bring it to the most gangsterish street shop in your town and let them at it. It’s usually that ghetto fab shop in the hood, where all the thuggish ruggish street guys get their ink from. Not the fancy, art gallery type customs shops in the artsy district or in the hipster part of town.
You know you’re in the right shop when the…[Read more] -

You’re choices are limited since it’s a cover-up. But the tattoo is small enough to cover entirely. The bigger you’re willing to go, the more options you’ll have.
Least difficult route would be big flowers like hibiscuses, peonies, roses. Blues and purples will do, it doesn’t have to be heavy black.
Other ideas: peacock, koi, girl/gypsy head (…[Read more] -

Whatever it is, please do not ask a tattooer to tattoo it. It is insulting.

It’s the classic 10-pound shit trying to stuff in a half-pound bag.
Figure out what you want your tattoo to be. Is it a ship, or a sun, or your zodiac, or a cross, or the wave? A tattoo is best with ONE subject matter.I say you get a SHIP tattoo. Let it take up most of your upper arm. Have the cross on the sail and lion as the figurehead of the…[Read more]

Dragon from elbow up with head on chest. On the other arm, foo dog from elbow up with head on chest. Forearms, one samurai, the other geisha. Hannya backpiece. 2 sleeves, dragon and foo dog looking at each other on your chest. And when you put your forearms together, you got man & woman.

A nice hand-written script name. No need for any kind of background or other decorations around it. Less is more. Congrats and good luck!

You’re a fireman and you want a tattoo of a fireman?
Get a sexy pin-up in firefighter outfit instead. Forget the army guy and the religious stuff. Those can be separate tattoos. And I agree with Adler about losing the words. That’s what the bible is for.

Get it covered with a new set of wings and bigger black cross in middle. I’m not sure how shops are in mt Vernon, but Vancouver and Seattle are great tattoo towns. Remember to portfolio shop and be patient. If you have to wait a few weeks or even months to get an appointment, that means your tattooer is doing something right.
Not sure how far…[Read more]

It’s a bad idea. It doesn’t make a nice tattoo at all. Neither do the sun and stars. Islands belong on a map or globe, and the sun and stars belong on a flag.
If you want to show heritage through tattoos, consider other images that would look better as a tattoo. Animals indigenous or unique to the country (monkey-eating eagle is dope or even the…[Read more] -

You seem to be doing the right thing as far as aftercare. As long as it’s not a thick, greenish/yellowish scab, with clear stuff secreting out of it, then you should be fine. Tattoos take about 2-4 weeks to heal. Post photos.

I would go with some type of handwritten or hand-drawn lettering, instead of a computer font. Fonts just don’t have that flow. Plus your tattooer would probably be stoked to create something rather than trace stiff lettering. two cents

It’s a tattoo of a camera and it looks like a camera. Mission accomplished. Adding stuff around it isn’t going to make it look anymore like a camera than it already does. Leave it alone dude.
