I have only ever heard of Vasiline being used right after the tattoo is done in the shop
im quite sure Outlaw tells people never to use it because of colour loss ??That could be, I know my artist puts something on it right before he wraps it up. I could ask him next thursday as I’ll be in the chair again!

Vasiline for the first day or two….then I switch to an uncented lotion. I wash mine a couple of times a day.…[Read more] -

I really like aquaphor which I use for the first two days, then I switch to curel frangrance free lotion. I also use dial soap frangrance free as well and wash it 2-3 times a day atleast for the first few days to prevent infections.

I personally would leave it black an gray. Doesnt seem like alot of areas to add color with all the shading ect.

I got about two hours worth of the black filled in on my forearms. Didn’t know black would fade this much. Hopefully going to finish all the black next week. I’ll post some pictures when I do. It looks funky now with the cover-ups, but I’m really starting to love it.Yeah black seems to lighten up a bit once its healed

I suppose you could make an argument out of it.:) Lets call it a “lower arm half sleeve”. IMO I think it would look better the other way though..

very neat work , you can call it a half sleeveagreed its nice work, but disagree that it can be called a half sleeve, or everyone that has a tat on there arm would considered it some type of sleeve.
When I first told my artist that I wanted a 3/4 sleeve, he told my typically the inner arm should be inked as well.

I am open to color, I am just unsure how it will looks years from now. I went to the shop today , but the artist wasn’t there. Thanks for the good advice! I did look at some artists work in their portfolios online and I am really impressed by this one guy’s work. I really would like to go in the shop and see more of his work and maybe talk to him about prices etc. I am thinking about color since it is Koi, but I have a pretty tan complexion since I am…[Read more] -

Well yes that is true. I guess I am just concerned that I now have to find a new artist and I am nervous about getting something that I want to have a lot of nice detail and is so costly. My concerns are that I wouldn’t be happy with the design the artist comes up with. Is there any way to get a sort of “estimate” from an…[Read more] -

Well most artist will NOT just sketch something up for you, and then hand it over so you can go anywhere to get inked. Some require a consultation and a downpayment, thus making sure you’ll come back.

Hey, me too ๐
I do 4 hour sessions once a month (he’s usually booked out for a month). Gives plenty of time for healing, I’d rather go once every three weeks though.I hear ya, my artist gets booked out for about 6 months! So I set up multiple appointments, I have one every month through april!

Seeing pictures of his work, and checked out his website, I think whatever you decide on doing he’ll do an awsome job. Normally if the artist has a pretty long waiting list, that speaks for itself!
