that is quite sick to be honest. Who are they to complain about a tattoo that isnt even on show? One of the best teachers in my school has 2 half sleeves on both forearms.
hmm, interesting. im 15 and iv had a week of experience in a studio. they said they would seriously consider me as an apprentice in the future.:D they already have an apprentice at the minute. even once that apprenticeship is finished i think if they were to take on another person they would probably take on someone with more quallifications so i shouldnt get my hopes up. just keep drawing and keep in contact with them:cool:
this would be my personal advice and im not a profesional piercer etc etc.
the most important thing when stretching is to take your time, its not a race, its something that takes different amounts of time depending on the person and method.
i used tapers to stretch mine (im now at 10mm in both ears). massage your ear with some sort of lube (my choice is bio oil), slide the taper in slowly. it shouldnt bleed or be too painfull. just a slight sting.
in my opinion you shouldnt keep the taper in for too long as it hangs on one side and can give an uneven stretch. once the taper is in just line up the jewellery to the end of the taper and slowly push the jewellery in while removing the taper.
even once your ear feels healed, force yourself to wait a few days longer between each stretch. usually you should wait 3 weeks to a month before stretching again.
by the way it is an addiction
hope that helped!:)
yep Chris does some really good japanese stuff. hes in japan at the minute getting a sleeve finished off by the one and only shige! although the other artist is good aswell he gets more general tattoos to do for people but still, his work is of amazing quallity. today was good, i got a one – on – one tutorial with the apprentice on photoshop and how they use it for tattoos. i also was taught some really handy drawing techniques. im actually quite sad to be leaving tomorro lol. 🙁
well i suppose that was telling me what i needed to know. i love maori designs but in not maori lol. by any chance would you be able to design something like the one in that picture or even smaller? if its a no, its ok because i understand that you usually get payd to do that. by the way thats really nice work!:)
yea i quite like the idea of having an original piece of art on my body.
but i just didnt want to show any disrespect to the maori culture.
thanks for the advice!
Im studying art in school at the minute and studying tattoos. i reworked this tattoo and i took the general shape of it but filled it in with different random patterns that i made up myself. would this still have the traditional maori meanings to it, and would it be acceptable to a maori person? ill post up another picture asap.
your english is fine. the main thing is that we understand you and we do:D
i like your tattoo!
brilliant cheers! yea amazon is great for them types of books, i have a few on japanese tattoos 🙂
:)thanks for the advice! ill bring it in in a few weeks and see what they can do for me
your right but i was expecting about 60-100 an hour and it to take about 8 hours. but anyway im not goin to rush into anything and it will hav to mean sumthing to me
