I think it would look a bit out of place, are you open to the other arm?
The other arm would place all emphasis on the koi itself, I just couldn’t see a traditional Japanese tattoo next to the ink you already have

I think there is a lot better way to remember where you first got tattooed than to ink your back with graffiti..
Why not do a back piece, with a design that each artist picks, and they can each tattoo it, that would be a masterpiece
Maybe I’m not one to say, but as loyal as I am to my shop, I wouldn’t want to be marked with graffiti and…[Read more]

Yeah we still have another session so that some lines can be made bolder then maybe starting shading during that session. The background will go all the way down to my upper thighs. Also this is based on Demon #47 from Horiyoshi III’s Book of 100 Demons.Did you buy that book?

I think that between your shoulder blades would be a solid choice. I’ve always thought that having symmetrical tattoos are the best way to go, and seeing how you don’t have any, your back would be a great place to start

Same goes for me, I always put sunscreen on or just wear a shirt whenever I’m outside..
I’ve seen some old tattoos on people who haven’t taken care of them in the sun, and they look like cancer

Normally I wouldn’t ask this but do you actually expect to be that big of a south park fan when you’re older? Do you really want to invest that much time, space and money into this? That’s rad, could turn into an awesome back piece. Make sure to research your artist first and find one who has the style you’re looking for. I think this would be awesome as a more realistic style, which I’m sure from your sketch, any tattoo artist could nail it.

Sure, just make sure you find a good artist, any tattoo can be beautiful, but if the artist blows, then any tattoo can also look like shit.
The stars under your ears are cool, just be aware that it may put you at a disadvantage for future employment opportunities, some employers won’t hire those with visible ink.

Different artists definitely have their strong points, and as far as NYC, you shouldn’t have any problem finding good artists for different styles. As far as shops, other people here will know a lot more than I do, so I’ll leave it to them

Your best bet is to bring your ideas to your artist, if he did your first two, I’m sure you’ll be more pleased with his / her work rather than a random artist

The tattoo will heal best by itself, just keep it lubed up with what ever you chose to use, Aquaphor is my choice.. Never heard of taking vitamins, just don’t mess with it for a week or two and the colors will be solid

Line work is pretty bad, finish it up in a professional shop with a good artist, it could turn out to be pretty cool with some professional work
