Weeellllll…my faith is very important to me and the tattoo is a seraphim, its an angelic being mentioned a few times in the bible but usually people refer to Isaiah 6:2 to describe it. It’s a six winged creature, with 2 wings it covers its feet, with 2 wings it covers its face and with 2 it flies. Seraphim also means ‘burning ones’ and when I think of the meaning I am reminded of being passionate about my faith.
Ive had people tell me I can’t be a Christian and have tattoos, I’ve heard people saying any tattoo is “the mark of the beast” …I’ve had strangers pull my shirt down to see my tattoo…and my mom asked if I was mentally ill after I finished my chest piece! And she was serious.
Hahahahaha wow! My old boss did that to the tattoo I have on my wrist, the day after I got it she tried to rub it off. Ouch.
I literally was asked “is that real?” About 2 minutes ago.
Well now I have a lovely rash on my left arm. I don’t think I like contrast dye very much! 😛
it finally stopped itching completely. That was very strange! They did inject dye into me through an IV, maybe that had something to do with it? Oh well..at least its not bothering me anymore! thanks for all the info!
I’ve had part of it for 3 and a half years and the other part for 2 and a half years. I wonder why it itches so bad? it almost feels like a sunburn but its getting better.
Thank you, msmercury! 🙂
I was at work, at the front desk checking clients in and out and she came in to get her grandaughter’s hair cut and I was in middle of asking her ‘how can I help you’ when she did that. I was SPEECHLESS!! after she left I was thinking I should have called the cops! Who does that??? I would never touch a stranger in that manner and people seem to think that a tattoo is an open invitation to touch someone they don’t know! I still get mad thinking about it. This was only a few days ago.
I have every song they ever made. I was only 4 when Freddie died but I grew up listening to Queen! Thanks mom and dad!! lol.
Freddie Mercury was the lead singer of Queen. Please tell me you have heard of Queen!! lol.
Honey, I get ugly comments on a weekly basis and yes it hurts but you have to remind yourself why you have the tattoo and what it means it means to YOU. Many people are judgemental about tattoos and some just don’t understand.
You’re always going to have someone saying something ugly about your tattoo just remember that it doesn’t matter what others think about you as long as you are happy with yourself. Just brush the comments off and try not to let it effect you.
its pretty un-awesome. Its been on fire a lot lately too which adds to the un-awesomeness.
yeah, usually. But I live in a small, west Texas town that is extremely conservative. Same town George W. Bush is from ,actually. Some salons don’t even allow visible ink. I get hated on pretty much every day for having tattoos, no exaggeration. I actually had an older woman grab the collar of my shirt and yanked it down past my shoulder, scratching me with her nails in the process and she said ‘why do pretty girls ruin themselves like this?’
So people here reallllly don’t accept ink.
haha. yeah that would be almost impossible to hide unless you wore a full body suit, gloves included!! You have to wear all black at this job and I have ONE black shirt that covers my chest piece. Guess I’m wearing that everyday until I find more! 😛
I should have no trouble with white then!! I’m as pale as a ghost. I can’t tan even if I try but I avoid the sun like the plague and if I do go out I wear SPF 50 so my tattoos don’t fade.
Anyway…thanks for all the help with my white ink ponderings.
