Very nice! I really like the traditional Japanese style tattoos. 9 1/2 hours in one sitting? Congrats on the stamina, man… I’d have to break that up into like 8 sessions!

I’d rule out the center of your chest. The fingers don’t really take ink too well, either. Wears off after a few years fairly regularly.

I agree, red is cool. I have a black tattoo with just one red character on it, looks great.

You could also use green (or red) in the leaves. Green would sort of give it a spring/re-birth feel and red would be more of a fall look. Just something to think about…
