I’m so sorry for your loss. You picked a really good artist for your memorial tatto, so congrats on that. I love the look on your baby girl’s face in the other picture, it is going to be a nice image for you to look at forever.

Another advantage to waiting until you are a little older before you get your first tattoo is that by the time they start to blur your eyesight won’t be what it once was so the whole world will have blurred just a little. 😉
Also I was talking to an artist recently who does realism and has done a lot of work on a client who uses vitamin E oil…[Read more]

I don’t have anything planned until next October – got a verbal YES from Randy Englehard to fill in the last spot on my masquerade sleeve when he comes back to Canada next October. It will be done when he is doing a guest spot in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Not my first choice as a vacation destination, but I’m pretty excited. He was at the top of…[Read more]

Nice. Especially for a first one.

It’s not a healing problem, it is a poorly done tattoo. The black is very uneven and in addition to the blow outs, it looks like they couldn’t even colour within the lines.
And it is upside down. But you probably asked for that. 🙁

replied to the topic What would this come off as to you? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 10 years ago
How would it look to me? I probably wouldn’t take much notice of it and wouldn’t even try to see what it said. Depending on your age I would assume that you and your teenage sister or daughter or grand daughter got matching tattoos. That seems to be the age range for the trendy typeface print on the wrist tattoos.
But get what you want. Just…[Read more]

Bien venue a … the forum. (sorry, I only know petite peu francais, mostly from bilingual signs and labels here in Canada ;). And grade 8 french class a long long time ago.)
Pretty cool to have your art worn by someone like Alice Cooper, it must have been exciting to see that you got credit for your art in the photo.

Nice one, congratulations. And award winning, I see.
I’m sure that the two months felt like forever, but it wasn’t very long to wait at all for quality work. And, it was worth waiting for.

I just met Chris Nunez a few weeks ago while I was getting a tattoo (from another artist). He seemed like a nice guy and was certainly well liked by the other artists that were around. And super patient and friendly to all his tv fans that kept stopping by and asking for pictures with him (as was Dan Smith) . It was almost non stop.
I watched…[Read more]

I like them. It looks like they were all done by the same artist?
P.S. Wifey is right, you should pace yourself. You have a lifetime to get tattooed. (Take this advice with a grain of salt, because it is coming from someone who got 2 very expensive pieces in the last few weeks. And spent money traveling to both appointments. :o)

Welcome to the forum.
Not sure you should get more work from that artist, since I didn’t even recognize that as DeNiro. I’ve seen worse, but you can do much better. And when it comes to tattoos … well … mediocre just isn’t good enough. Especially for a portrait.
I love the idea of getting that drawing as a tattoo. It will be cool, and…[Read more]

When you had it originally done, did you tell the artist that you might want to continue it down your arm later? Even if you didn’t, the artist may have planned for that, even though it doesn’t look like it to you. I have had artists tell me at the end of a session that they did it a certain way so that it could be added onto later. And…[Read more]
