This is the first time that I have healed more than one tattoo at the same time, plus I’m using two different methods. So I’m going to get to see which method works best (for me).
For the new tattoo I got on Saturday I’m doing the dry wrap method, which up til now has been my preferred way to heal. It gives me really good results. Only…[Read more]

Well, it’s day 2 of the convention and I , now have an unfinished tattoo. I think we did about 8 hours and it’s about halfway done. Poor me, that means another trip to sunny California. 😎
Oh, and Remis already warned me that we won’t be able to finish what he has planned for me tomorrow. (So .. another trip to meet up with him.)…[Read more]

I see, from bottom to top: water, birds, sunset, birds in the sunset and a mushroom top. But, who gives a crap what I see? (And why do I think the top looms all poison mushroomy??) It looks well enough executed, and I’m probably WAY to old to get the musical reference. I don’t get it, but I don’t hate it. I’m glad you like it. And it isn’t…[Read more]

Only during shading … I am certainly NOT an expert, but maybe it is an application/technique issue? Is he an experienced artist? Or a beginner? Ink has to be applied correctly to stay in the skin. I’m not trying to dis the artist, just thowing out an idea.

I’m getting a couple more masquerade ladies. Hovastattoos will be scribbling on me all day Saturday, then a full day with Remis on Sunday. I still can not believe that I’m getting a piece from Remis. I have coveted his stuff for a long time, but Dublin was just too far away. I’m really excited to see what these guys have come up with for me.

They are not excellent. I think you should find a new artist to do your next one. (And the one after that, and … ;))

replied to the topic Where do you get your ideas and inspiration when you're planning a new tattoo? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 9 years, 2 months ago
Sometimes an idea just pops into my head. Sometimes I see an image on IG and I file it away.
Sometimes I find that a great artist is coming to my area and I PANIC and have to come up with something fast in order to snag the appointment – which is how one masquerade tattoo has turned into a masquerade sleeve. (Well, it isn’t quite a sleeve yet,…[Read more]

The last time that I had bleeding issues was due to low blood sugar. (Which we figured out when I nearly went down!) The artist sent out for some food, we ate, then went back at ‘er. The bleeding was no longer a problem, and we got through several more hours without a problem.
Now I make sure to bring snacks and eat a handful of food every…[Read more]

I peeked at your album. Nice stuff. Who is the artist?
Do you follow many artists on Instagram? I often find inspiration in something that is posted there.

Next weekend!! To be honest I’m a little nervous about two days of appointments, back to back, but I can’t back out now. I’m also excited to see what Hova and Remis have planned! Helluva way to start my vacation.
Anyone else coming??

No wonder I travel to other cities (and countries) to get tattooed. According to the map I live in a ‘tattoo desert’.
App is looking good! And response time is fast. Good work!

Hi Simen, welcome.
None of the artists that immediately popped into my mind that excel at that style are in Britain. But Jesse travels a lot, email and ask if he’s coming over. He would be worth waiting for. Travis Greenough has a similiar style, and he does European shows sometimes.
I’m sure that someone here will be able to suggest an…[Read more]

Welcome to the forum.
I hope that by ‘cute and small’ you don’t mean an infinity symbol (especially with a word) or a feather. They are so boring and overdone.
But my first was also pretty small. And I still remember how scared and excited I was. So I understand wanting to start small.

A healed tattoo is never quite as bright as a fresh one because a new layer of skin grows over it, but should still be the same colour. You are going to have to go back for a touch up to fix where the colour ‘fell out’. In general touch ups are free (except hands/feet/face). You are also probably going to have to either have the outline made…[Read more]
