Crispy Lennox at Black Garden Tattoo in London might be worth a look for you as well. I think you said you were looking for B/G, but I love his colour work too. There are heaps of amazing artists in London!

It could be that that skin around your tattoo is overly moisturised so the pores get clogged and you get the ‘pimples’. This happened to me once, and as soon as eased up on the lotion, and ensured that the area around the tattoo was washed a couple of times a day to keep it lotion free, they got better and were gone in a few days.

I can also highly recommend Crispy Lennox at Black Garden Tattoo in London. If you search Facebook for Black Garden, Crispy has an online portfolio on their pages.

One of the difficulties I have with large text tattoos is that they are hard for other people to appreciate because they won’t necessarily have the opportunity to read it in its entirity, but that’s a very personal opinion. Not everyone wants to have their tattoos on show anyway and tbh as long and the wearer likes it/appreciates it, who cares.

When my husband decided he wanted a Koi half sleeve as his first large piece, I admit, the thought that it was a little boring crossed my mind. Now that it is finished, I am impressed; he picked the right artist, and while I was surprised when he came home with a ‘mottled’ brown koi, I like it!

I am so impatient and facing a nine month wait when I booked my appointment seemed like torture at the time. I have five weeks left now, so almost there. I did go and have piece done in the mean time, but it was sort of coincidence that I spoke to the artist I wanted to do it, and he was able to start with only a month wait. 🙂

I just had a piece across my back and had this exact problem. I found, much like a previous poster, that you do learn how to reach, and somehow manage. I don’t think I have ever looked at my back in the mirror as I have over the last few weeks!

The worst part was sleeping for the first day or so, everything I moved in the night I woke up 🙁

I have also an appointment with David – in six weeks – I cannot wait!

Mantis Shrimps are cool; would be an amazing tattoo I think!
