I think of my tattoos the same way, it just comes to me all of a sudden.

My policy is to wait eight months to a year. Because even if you hold on to the idea, you tend to fiddle around with the way it looks over time. It starts out as an idea, and matures into art.

And besides, by the time you finally get it, you’ve built up lots of anticipation!

There’s no rush, you know? You’ve got all the time in the world. Start saving up money, just 10 bucks a month, to put towards a tattoo. And if you still want it in a year, go for it.
