PS3?
XBox has “true skills matching” this means that all the n00bs are matched up.
You seem to be in servers where L33t join to pwn n00bs like you. You have to remember that WHEN you play is a factor. I am in the US, but I play in the afternoon. (GMT -6) this means my servers are handling lots of UK players playing at night. French players really…[Read more] -

The image would make a great calf tattoo. Nice design too. Not partial to the matching tattoos idea, but your design is stand-alone. I have had clients with much less appropriate images get work done on their calfs. Its a nice spot for a first tattoo.

“Square headed”?
So, you want like a “Rock ’em Sock ’em Robots” style? That could be pretty nice. Go find an artist that you like and get a consultation. Remember that the tattoo has meaning for you, everyone else just gets to see an image.
Good luck!:D -
replied to the topic legal age of apprenticeship..? in the forum Legal Issues 14 years, 4 months ago
Never stop drawing. If the shop lets you hang around, keep doing it. You learn by observing, and if you can watch someone while they tattoo, you are already apprenticing. Try to run errands (like picking up food) for the shop. You may not be legally employed by the shop, but you can voluntarily do things around there like taking out the trash.…[Read more]

replied to the topic What would you do with my tattoo? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 14 years, 4 months ago
Personally, I would suggest getting the tribal filled in with skulls and flames. You have enough blank space there, that you really should do something. Done right a skull and flames fill would look sick. Be prepared though, for anything more than solid black “tribal?” fill, you are looking at multiple sessions and a big price tag.

Tip if you want to, its probably not expected.
You likely paid for the work at the first session. Any tip would be apropriate once all work is compleated. 10% is more the average when tipping for tattoo work. A $50 tip at end of the tattoo lets the artist know you are HAPPY with the finished tattoo. Tip after any follow-up or touch up sessions,…[Read more] -

This is a technical question, which are not allowed. Since you are not an artist, no one will give you a straight answer. This is something you will discover in an apprenticeship.

replied to the topic Opinions on making this a sleeve? in the forum Inked Skin 14 years, 5 months ago
The work depends on your artist, the design, and research for the peice imo. Work with an artist. Of course its do-able. the end result is that the sleeve itself will become the focal point, with elements in the composition leading the eye around. A single element like the skeleton in a b&g sleeve will tend to blend in.

replied to the topic Buy tattoo ideas, worth it? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 14 years, 6 months ago
Ideas are where you find them. I agree that flash tattoos are not worth paying. There are just too many original ideas and artists around to settle for a cookie-cutter tattoo. However, if that is where you find an idea you really like – more power to you. I would definitely find an artist first and go over your ideas with them. Together…[Read more]

replied to the topic Definition of "completely healed" in the forum Tattoo Aftercare 14 years, 6 months ago
That is hard to say. Everyone heals differently and each tattoo as well. Since a tattoo is basicly a colored scar there are stages in the healing and development of scar tissue. Once all scabbing and peeling is finished, several weeks could pass before the skin has repaired itself to a “normal” stage. Three to six weeks is a good timeframe if…[Read more]

Very nice work. The colors really pop. Now that the dragon is colored, you need to do the phoenix. Then you can just go fro a full traditional back peice. 😀
Excellent ink as is though. -
replied to the topic My First Tattoo – Leg Piece in the forum Inked Skin 14 years, 6 months ago
I think art is subjective. The tattoo from the painting looks a little off, but nothing too distracting. Once color is done, it will be a whole different peice. Obviously you liked the original art. The question now is, are YOU happy with the tattoo? That is the only thing that matters. There are WAY too many haters on here to forget that.

replied to the topic Question about arm size and tattoos. in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 14 years, 6 months ago
Unless the tattoo is very delicate (detailed fineline portraiture), and you swell up HUGE, you should be fine.
I have seen tatts after weight gain, and the stretching is not as bad as you would think. You may need to get colored areas touched up due to light spots, but it really depend.

replied to the topic New tattoo looks blown out hours after getting it? in the forum Tattoo Questions and Experiences 14 years, 7 months ago
He maybe hoping you will just ride it out until it heals…then forget about it. The picture posted does look blown out. Any excess ink would normally come off in the shower, or during daily washing. A blow out is sub dermal and may continue to fade a little as it spreads, but will never dissappear. That being said…
I agree with Sherav, in that…[Read more] -
