Take some Ibuprofen or any other anti-inflammatory for the swelling/heat/redness. You will find that it helps alot. Make sure u are using a good cleanser(dial liquid soap) before you put on your ointment..and wash it everytime before you re-apply. I wouldn’t recommend doing this more then 3 times a day..also don’t over apply the ointment, your tattoo needs to get air to heal. It takes most people a couple of weeks to fully heal for a big tattoo. I’m sure it will look just fine once its all healed up.
I met one of these creatures this weekend! He was commenting about my “tats” then he asked me if I had any piercings down below “cuz he had a friend that got it done ..it was cool.” Needless to say I just walked away a little creeped out.
If it doesn’t bother you then great..this is a general discussion thread.
I think it really bothers me more when people say it…” Sweet tats”..”Where do you get your tats?”…” how many tats do you have?” …”take a look at my new tat.” I find myself saying OH you mean TATTOOS. Haha Thats just me though.
I don’t mind the “LOL” or “Haha” those don’t bother me unless over used like you guys said.
YaY! Glad to hear your feeling better. 🙂
I’ve had an MRI on my back before and it didn’t bother my tattoos then and that was 12 years ago .I know i’ve had trouble with hair dye making my tattoos inch in the past. Also for some reason or another red ink has give alot of people as well as myself some problems. If it doesn’t stop soon i’d still contact your doctor just to make sure.
I would for sure go to another artist. I know you probably get touch ups for free if you go back but is it really worth the risk of getting even more blowout. It probably wouldn’t hurt to give that shop manager a ring as well..give a heads up so it doen’t happen to someone else. Probably wont do any good but it couldn’t hurt. As far as being weird..not at all..people get work fixed from other artist all the time. It has happened to the best of us. I had a cross that was my 2nd tattoo that was put on my back crooked..I went to another artist to fix that. Just make sure that you really look at the portfolio of the next artist you go to. If they don’t have one..don’t bother. 😉
How long have you had your chest tattoo? Tattoo ink is no longer made with metal…and hasn’t been for sometime now. So i’ve heard. It still wouldn’t hurt for you to call your doctor just to make sure and to put your mind at rest.
If I were you I WOULDN’T go back to the artist that did this to you. I would have concerns about his experience at this point. Check with another artist it my cost you more to fix but it would be better then having it messed up even worse. White is more or a highlighting color in my experiences.
I live in a small town and I get people who ask me about my tattoos every day. Mostly it’s just to complement me on the bright colors and to ask where I got them done. I don’t mind promoting my shops it brings them business but I will admit sometimes I get tired of it. When they are trying to show off their crap tattoos that are in places no one should see or getting really touchy while trying to see mine. I’m a heavily tattoo female and it’s not super common around these parts it’s to be expected that people will be so fascinated. If you have a lot of nice work, get ready to get looked at a lot it just comes with it. I don’t get many hateful comments about my tattoos but I do with my gauged ears? Go figure?
Yeah i’ll post more pictures when its done. I still have 5-6 hours to go on this tattoo alone should have updated pictures in a couple of weeks.
I have concerns about how this is going to turn out…or maybe i’m just picturing it wrong in my head?
I agree this depends on the artist. If you have a tattoo artist in mind just take the picture to the shop and see what they say. It doesn’t hurt to ask them to sketch something up for you as well. I’m sure they can give you a price and let you know about how long it would take before you make your decision.
