Personally, it’s not something I would get…But it doesn’t look bad. And I agree, the leaves make it look pretty feminine.
That looks great! I wanna see more pictures of it!!
I have some spare time, so here I go……
1) I have two tattoos.
2) The first one is a traditional style rose with a banner and name. The second one is a large piece on my side. It is of two koi swimming opposite of each other with a stargazer lily and orchids in the middle. I have pictures in my albums.
3) They both hold incredibly strong meaning to me. I got them in those particular spots because that’s just where I pictured them being. They were the spots that I felt the tattoo would look best.
4) I was a high school graduate for both.
5) My occupation was/is a cake (and the occasional cupcake) baker and decorator.
6) Upper middle class or upper class. I’m not sure.
7) I’m 100% female
I’m getting one of my koi colored an orange and black…I’m not sure about what color I want the other one though. As for the water, probably different shades of a pretty medium shade blue. And then as for my flowers, there are going to be pinks and probably a little purple.
WOW! Alright, I’m now a lesbian!!
I’m also going to be getting a pin-up girl on my arm (haven’t decided which arm). But mine is going to be just wearing an apron, she’ll have a very mischievous expression and is going to be either holding a cake or standing next to a cake that is on a stand. I bake and decorate cakes and I LOVE pin-up girls.
Hahaha! I was laughing the entire time I was reading that. Thank you.
I love colorful tattoos!! Yours looks great (even with the bad quality picture)! I cant wait to see a good, clear one.
Yes, I know we all like different things…
You like that tattoo and I don’t (it’s just my opinion though)
Wow….(sorry, but that’s not a good ‘wow’)
I only have two. One on my upper back and one on my right side (starting at the bottom of my boob down to a little before the middle of my butt). The one on my back didn’t hurt at all. And the one on my side had a few spots that I cringed during, but overall it wasn’t too bad…and I don’t have much meat on my bones.
Wow, it sounds like you’ve had a pretty bad experience.
My artist and the shop he works at is amazing!! I love going there. Everyone there is so nice and funny. And I do get calls or emails if they need to tell me something. For my first tattoo there, they called and asked if it would be ok if my appointment at 3 could be changed to 4. And then apologized for any trouble it may have caused!
For my next (quite large) tattoo, I wanted a very specific thing. We talked about it VERY much so he could get it as close to what I wanted the first time. We scheduled an appointment, and I went home extrememly excited and quite a bit nervous. On my appt day I went in, he had the drawing all done, and it was amazing….but not quite what I wanted. So we talked about it more and I showed him what I wanted changed. He said he would be able to get it fixed in about an hour or two and that if I wanted to, I could wait and keep my appointment.
It sounds like a really cool idea. How would you fit it all on your forearm though? Unless you have a HUGE forearm…
Personally, I think it would look best on the ribs. You can make it big and have a lot more detail. AND you wouldn’t have to worry at all about people seeing it at work. But yes, rib tattoos do hurt quite bad….but in my opinion, they’re not as bad as everyone says they are.
I really love this tattoo. I’ve thought a lot about getting some kind of animal tattoo. Animals have a very special place in my heart. I’ve had birds, lizards, snakes, frogs, turtles, rabbits, guinea pigs, dogs, cats, ferrets, rats, mice, hamsters, tarantulas, fish, scorpions….reptiles are definitely my favorite though.
You’re making me want another chameleon!! I miss mine 🙁
I’ve read before that while you’re pregnant or nursing, you CAN get a tattoo and it will be perfectly fine….UNLESS it gets infected. Then you’ve got some real trouble on your hands. That infection could really harm your baby.
Since the tattoo is so new, it being red is normal and it oozing is normal (it’s plasma). When I get a tattoo, I wash it with antibacterial soap, pat it dry, then put a very thin layer of aquaphor covering the entire thing. I do that about twice a day.
Personally, I like it. I don’t understand what the big deal is.
