So I’ve often wondered how it is for you tattoo people to draw super super straight, parallel lines? For instance, I am a guitar/bass player and if I want to get a guitar tattoo… will the strings and the bands and the neck and the lot ever be really straight? Tattoos hurt less today than they did 20 years ago, the machines are better, the needles are better, and the way they are made is better, the styles are better and the artists…for the most part, are better. Depends on your artist, but it won’t be as bad as you think. Thanks for that S. Neil that’s put my mind at ease…[Read more]

im talking about an excision, getting it cut off then sewn. i wouldnt mind having a scar. Is my tattoo to big for that method? That sounds rather macabre 😮 the tattoo’s not that bad to look at, and a scar (If that could even be done) would be a whole lot worse!
Can’t you add something to it?

Yea I could. I’m just scared that it will look bad on my arm. Is this tattoo a hard? I thought maybe a pic you can buy online. If you can get the artist to see the design, they may even be familiar with the design, or can draw you up a design that you are happy with that resembles that design, most tattoo studios have…[Read more]

I agree, a good artist can cover work without having to resort to solid black…most of the time. I just did a cover up where that didn’t work though. I ended up having to use tribal to cover the work. It was simply too bold and too dark to cover any other way. Especially where it was located.Anyway, keep us posted on…[Read more]

Here’s my suggestion. Leave the name and tattoo a VOID stamp in red ink over the top of it. That’ll make a point, get some laughs and always be a reminder of how truly temporary most relationships are these days.
S.Neil came up with a good idea – I can imagine how that would look, it’s a great way of getting back…[Read more]

Just out of interest I was looking around and found “Cosmic Tattoo” of Colchester, Essex. and saw this cover up, although the design is not my choice there is no denying its covered really well, the shading looks great, which proves if the artist is skilled enough they can do a good cover without going mega dark

Yes, Butterfly that is a shame that such a talented artist resorts to designs like that!
Some of the designs are very distasteful, and TBH I’m very open minded! I avoided the link to that page and others so I hope it doesn’t offend anyone who clicks your link, if you can see past that however I think its probably the best work I’ve ever seen,…[Read more]

The dragon Koi will work as a cover up. I would STRONGLY suggest using color. since you already have red that you are trying to cover, I would say use red and oranges with a hint of yellows.
