Thanks! Yeah lining on feet sucks! It’s the strangest skin ever. That first one was super fun to do. I try to make every tattoo a fun one for me and my client.

I have two English Mastiffs. Rupert is almost 10. He’s the light colored (fawn) dog. Arlo is almost 7. He’s the darker (brindle) dog. Melissa is my girlfriend. She’s the cute pale one next to Arlo. We were at the vet’s office when I took this picture.

There are all sorts of rules with Japanese tattoos. Many are broken frequently, but I try not to deviate too much in my drawings.

I’m assuming you’re posting these up for critique since all the other stuff you’ve posted on here has been. Here’s what I think.
The eyes on the first one look pretty good. The rest of it looks a bit out of shape though.
The dragon is pretty good. Try tracing it and adding color. Research how guys like Horiyoshi III and Horimoto color things…[Read more]

Let me preface this by saying that I am a tattoo artist. I believe that an employer has the right to refuse employment to a person who has willingly altered their own appearance permanently. Especially if that person has visible tattoos, piercings or implants on the face, head, neck, or hands that cannot be covered under normal circumstances. It’s…[Read more]

Here’s a watercolor I did of Ackbar. This is more of a large thigh piece though.

The reason I’m not so into the Imperial insignia or Rebel insignia is because I see so many of them. I bet we do a couple of these a month at our shop. I’m always more into original custom pieces. You deserve an original tattoo!

Actually, a lotus is a perfect image because it grows out of the mud and the filth and becomes a beautiful flower. Bam. Perseverance.

Screw the text. Text is the new tramp stamp or tribal. A word is worth one word. A picture is worth a thousand words.
Do an image search on google for perseverance. You should find plenty of inspiration.

I try to stay away from just words. If there are words, I tend to have them as part of the tattoo, not the whole tattoo. It’s much easier to work with the piece later if you plan on adding to it.
Why not get a small Dalek or Tardis? Maybe a Babel Fish? Greedo’s head with x’s over the eyes and a banner that says ” Han shot first”.
I would love to…[Read more]

I don’t know if I want a huge waiting list if I ever get popular as a tattoo artist. I’d hate to be living such a scheduled life. It’s bad enough already and I’m only booking a month and a half ahead of time.

Here is one taken from The Encyclopedia Of Russian Criminal Tattoos by Dmitri Samohin. It means “I have no resources to support a conscience.” She asked for color. I think the color does it justice. This is a tiny little ankle tattoo.

In regards to the question about my machines- I’m not sure if that’s aloud. Are you a tattoo artist?
The comments never bother me. There were instances where some flaws that I didn’t see initially were brought to my attention. I put the photos up expecting opinions and critiques.

I hate to say it, but you knew what you were getting into and you did it again. Repeatedly. Even if he was still in his apprenticeship and not scratching, he’d be making mistakes. I can look at tattoos by Jeff Gogue and Filip Leu and find faults in them. There is no such thing as a perfect tattoo. I just think this is a case of you having unreal…[Read more]
