Those actually tie in together pretty well and look decent, not best case scenario, but decent none the less.

Really good looking work, want to see it when it’s completely healed up.

FYI, when I clicked on the http://industrytattoo.com/?cat=7 link my anti-virus software alerted on the page. Don’t know what’s wrong with it, or my software, just figured I’d pass along the information.

I agree with Topdog, too much white space; I like these when the entire skull is filled with the little bits of different colors with lots of reds. I do dig the “idea” of diamonds for eyes, just not this application.
In the end, it’s your tattoo and you are the only one that has to like it.

What branch of the service was he in? Would he consider a memorial tatto to fallen service members? What are his hobbies? A family crest?
Just the first stuff that popped into my head.

Starting at your wrist, sea floor with pieces of a wercked ship, pirate skeletons with cutlasses and tattered clothes looking up towards the surface. Half way up your arm you could have the squid latching onto the ship and some bodies (souls?) from the ship sinking down towards the skeletons. Finally, up at your bicep, a ship fighting against the squid and a raging storm with a lighthouse in the background. Add / remove elements as you see fit.
I can see it, just not describe it.

I agree, that would be a very nice looking tattoo.
What about a Native American theme or an animal theme?

Um yeah, it was late when I posted and missed that part. Anyway, it’s going to be done by Jason at Holy City Tattoo and this is what he’s going to do…http://www.thetattooforum.com/album.php?albumid=3874&pictureid=7692
He’s only doing the part outlined by me in black. It’s a memorial piece for my grandmother who bleached everything. It was a running joke in my family that she had clothes in the washing machine with bleach before they could hit the floor when you took them off.
I know it’s an odd tattoo, but it sums her up 100% and hell, I’ve been thinking of getting it for about seven years now. FYI, it’s going on the inside of my right bicep running up and down with the “C” by my elbow and the “X” up by my armpit.
