i just had a tattoo and used tegaderm to protect it. I swam the next day and peeled off the tegaderm and the tattoo was just fine. I put a fresh tegaderm on after washing the tattoo with soap and hot water and drying completely. When I peeled off the degaderm I noticed that there was no ink pulled from the tattoo itself, The ink pulled was the stuff that was weeping already, etc. Bottom line, big fan of the tegaderm, saniderm, tatu derm world. Don’t know why this is not the new standard aftercare protocol. Also, I assume that these three products are basically the same thing and that actually tegaderm is the original and tatu term and saniderm are just excellent copies of it. Tegaderm is the original wound protector, which is what a new tattoo is.
