I stare because like everyone else says, it’s art and I appreciate the tattooists’ talent. Also, I always wonder what’s their stories behind them.

I’d suggest to find something to cover it up, talk to another artist you can fully trust and talk to him or her to talk about what you should do. Someone can figure it out, no problem! Don’t panic.
