I had my doctor look at it on Friday (he had no idea what he was looking at and ordered me to the ER to look for blood clots –I am not kidding you) He prescribed me antibiotics for the red lines above–which I have not taken yet. He was poking at it so maybe that is the reason this happened.
but I can honestly say that I clean my hands and follow all instructions and that includes not picking at the tattoo. Only thing is I might wash it a little rougher then needed but nothing too crazy.
I used Aquaphor for 5 days then switched to Jergens Lotion. I also have been wearing pajama pants under my jeans so the jeans dont rub against my tattoo.
So what is the next step? Fill my antibiotics and start taking them? I emailed the tatoo artist and I hope to hear back from him in a couple hours.
I am flipping out about this ..makes me want to say this will be my last tattoo.
Also thanks for all the help!
@Sam I live in NJ where can I buy the B.F.I?
So I didn’t cut my leg off (yet) but I wanted to share the pic of the two white dots on the eye bulb.
They are not hot to the touch a little more sore then the rest of the tattoo. Any ideas what this is or how to care for it? Any help/info would be much appreciated ๐
I noticed some “red” coming from some of the line work …not sure if it is just irritated or infected. I spoke with the artist and he gave me the warning signs to look for. Of course the tattoo is a little sore still but no extreme pain, oozing, or heat coming from it. I got this done on Sunday.. I am leaning towards just going to the DR and getting some antibiotics lol
thoughts? I also know its tough to tell from a picture but I would appreciate any input / help
nice! congrats I like the design
thanks guys for all the kind words and help..my ankle/foot seems to be getting back to normal(slowely) and the tattoo is healing nicely
Going Nov 23 rd for round 2 ๐
thanks guys!
Also just a quick question my leg/ankle is swollen. How long does that usually last for?
Any suggestions on how to make sure it doesn’t turn into a problem?
Also two days ago (Sunday) I started a leg piece by a different artist.
Should I start a new thread of keep going with this one?
Sunday 6 hours on my leg
Monday 3.5 hours on my arm
Trying to get an appointment for today to keep the streak alive lol
Ok so we finished last night!! Pics are from right after we finished
The scales are a dark green which will of course “lighten up” once it heals
Around 12 hours in total to complete..of course I will post pic once it heals up a little
So we only got in a couple hours last week…finished the shading. I am schedulled Monday to touch up the shading and hopefully color the dragon. After that we should be finished.
