TF’ers never fail me. With a wink and a gun, Thanks.
If you want to get a quote as a tattoo then you should. No one here can tell you not to, and it shouldn’t influence you what others say. Sometimes you just know you want a tattoo when you see it/think of it. I have 2 quote tattoos and it’s almost as Mott said:
I live by mine, and I’m glad I got them. My first and second tattoos are pictures and people would always ask me what they mean, why I got it etc., where as a quote they read it and say “awesome….whats that from?” If you’re looking for a quote, look them up and find one you can connect to.
The hard part isn’t finding the quote, but the font that fits it the way you want it to.
I have a tattoo with white ink (it starts at white and fades to black) and at first it pretty easy to tell that it was white ink, but over time the white has faded to almost match my skin tone.
I’ve never come across an artist that didn’t like doing a white ink tattoo (after all you are giving him/her business) but here is some info I found online about it. Hope it helps.

that looks lkike it might be a bit hard to cover up due to the shape of the tattoo. But I think a bull might be your best bet. It could be a bucking bull where the bottom dot are (is) one of the front hooves and the and the tail could be the right of the original tattoo.
Just a thought
Even though it could be a, there are recognizable characters. Like Megaman, Link, Ryu, et. etc.
What about a cross (maybe some type of frozen one or ice effets on it) with a hockey stick leaning on one side of the vertical beam and ice skates hanging on the other side on the horizontal beam.
Hmm. It’s been a while since I was pretty active on this site(when I registered there was no level or point system), but I would say maybe bad rep/reported posts.
I say keep it like that (unless you’re completley sure you want to add to it) because to me that’s just an awesome rockin tat by itself. But, maybe you could do something like a galaxy type thing behind it. You know, moon, stars, planets, black wholes, red dwarfs, etc etc. That could be cool.
Oh…Lara Croft. Forgot about that one.
Thanks!
That looks awesome! It made me smile when I saw. How long did it take and where is it?
I get em for the “deeper” meaning. Every tattoo I have has been thought out since I was about 17. Doing this has weeded out some of the ones I was planning on getting in the spur of the moment but thought it was better off that I didn’t.
But it’s like inkmeolaf said…
Man I haven’t played thief in ages!
I did find one picture of a glyph in Thief. I don’t remember where it is, but it could be a “protective” glyph.
and then if you go on Thief wiki and scroll down to where it says protective glyphs…
http://thief.wikia.com/wiki/Glyph
and click on either compound, library, or door glyph you’ll notice the same symbol in the upper left side of the article

maybe not what you were expecting but definitely something to start on.
I usually come across the avarage being a minimum of $60-$65
Why a video game tattoo? is this something that you are going to want on you for the rest of your life? It’s an honest question… Pop culture tattoos like movies, bands and video games make me scratch my head.
I already have one game tattoo on the inside of my left forearm. I’m just a pretty hardcore gamer. Have been since I was 7. So, I guess it would be something commemorating all the good times I’ve had with video games.
I suggest that the thing to go with your fathers name should be something he liked. if he liked a certain animal, song, or car. something like that. You could always just go with a phrase as well.
i dont know about the pain part. But i did have a friend who got one on his left shoulder and he was squeezing the chair for dear life. i think it just depends on your pain tolerance.
