Old rap/hip-hop is better than today’s (c)rap/hip-hop because it has LESS violence and misogyny and it was more creative instead of computer-generated music loops.
For that matter, the old R&B and soul (between the late 1950’s and early 1970’s) was SO MUCH better than any of the urban/black music of the past 20 years.
You will NOT see any of todays artists bask in the glow of fame, fortune and out-right brilliant/creative minds that you have in your Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, Curtis Mayfield, Diana Ross, Barry Gordy, etc…
