Thanks for the replies. It’s not my tattoo, but one I did for someone. Apparently he doesn’t wear his bracelet so he wanted something permanent… I was happy to do it, but I’m not nearly as judgmental as some. The cancer comment is rediculous.
Wardy, I think you are right, this tattoo is designed to get attention in the case of an emergency, sympathy i’m not so sure.
Thanks.
Wardy, I love your back piece dude… I always wanted to do a splattered ink or paint graffiti tattoo.
Too bad it healed like that, was it a reaction to certain colours? Glad she managed to pull it back, that’s on a nice piece of real estate!

I like some of the simpler flash and cartoon stuff but not so much the portraits, they need quite a bit of work. IMO they look rushed, spend more time gettin the proportions right.
Thanks for sharing

Thanks guys. Arni, this is pencil. Buttwheat the ridge above the eye is normal, it casts a shadow over the birds eyes preventing glare from the sun.
This is just the concept, the final piece will be a bit different depending on what we both decide on the day he gets inked. Also, I’d like to add a bit of background but again… We’ll decide all that in the chair.
Peace!

What the fuck is it then?
The tattoo below is a portrait of a person or pet
Yep, welcome to thetattooforum. It’s a good place to see fresh ink, but not really worth posting anything unless you want to here all the bs that comes with it.

As Long as it looks good, who cares what it means!
Don’t mind my freaky wife!
It means “so many species, so little time”. The word species has no authentic Latin translation so I used the relatively new Latin addition speciei.
It is simple and stark and is a reference to my love of birdwatching, nature, environmentalism, wildlife art and taxonomy all balled into one phrase.

Whatever you do don’t use a translation tool for Latin, have it translated by a Latin professor and then get it verified by a different one. I have a meaningful Latin phrase on my ribs and googles Latin translation wasn’t even close to the true Latin translation I received from an expert.

Hey Brit,
Here’s a memorial piece I did a few weeks ago for a fishermans son, he liked Muskie. Use it for inspiration if you like but please don’t copy it.
