Love it. I’ve been thinking of getting something like this as a cover up for my tribal. Is it finished now?
Is this held in donny every year or does it move from place to place every year? Reason I ask im from sheffield originally and go home for a holiday every year. It’d be great to pop along 🙂
In the long term I seriously recommend wearing sunscreen.
I got my 1st tattoo done when i was 16 and used to have it out in the sun quite often and it faded quite badly, I got it recoloured and then i always used suncreen on it. It has kept its colour really well, ive had it 9 years now and it still looks great 🙂
Suncreen a few $s recolour few $100, it just isnt worth it
That looks painfull…. good but painfull.
You have balls 🙂
Have you considered getting it done in black and grey instead ? It’ll look great when its done 🙂
Wow you only managed to see 3 people with a star tattoo ? They are so so common, it used to be anchors or mum tattoo’s then it was swallows on the hand, this generation its the star tattoo……cover up ?
This is great I cant believe no one has commented on it yet.
I could never get one on my leg though, they are too hairy, you’d never see it lol
Hi I’m from sheffield, and I got all mine done at
http://www.mrpersonality.co.uk/index.html
The owner (Pat) is good but there’s also a bloke works there called Heath who’s really good too.
One of the best well known ones is
Pat and Fiona are both great but there styles are very different
let us know where you decide to get inked
hey thanks for posting that, its looking great. Keep us posted 🙂
Love it, can you take a pic of your whole arm so we can see how it all fits together ?
but i didnt get it too look cool. I very rarely show it too people, i didnt get it for other people to look at, it was something i wanted for myself
lol @ cool looking, so you know what i mean now 🙂
I mean obviosly not all maori are going to agree with what i said, i must just know really proud ones lol
by the way that is an amazing tattoo. I might have to give you a buzz when i get my next tat done, have you much experience of black and grey work ?
I didnt explain myself well enough. There are lots of people who come to NZ on holiday and get Maori tatts, they know nothing about maori people, nothing about the meaning of the tatts…they probably never spoke to a maori person they just get it cos they think it looks cool.
I think its a huge disrespect to maori people to do this. In the past people have copied maori tatts and the tatt they have copied has been a very personal tattoo to that person, and also the tribe they belong too. There are maori tattooist that will only tattoo maori people.
So i dont think im disrespectful at all, i just dont respect people who clearly dont have it for the maori people or their tats
