Basically, you will have to work around the tattoo later on vs planning it out at the same time.
You don’t have to listen to anyone but yourself. If you think this is the right way to do it, go for it. Don’t let a bunch of internet strangers tell you what to do. However, if you want a nice, clean, cohesive tattoo that is nice looking and really works save your money and get the sleeve done all at once.
I can certainly see your point.
OK…basically, out of the ideas Ive had over the years, I want to start with a quote, since its my first, I figure Ill start simple.
The Frankenstein quote, was chosen partially because I love the story, and movie, and partially because I just like that quote, for its realism. (If you focus on one thing enough, you dont think about anything else…)
So like I said, I want to start out simple for now. Then add some other ideas maybe. (Zombie pin up, clown, and some kind of irish themed tattoo, for my family’s irish background)
Yeah, the idea is, I dont want to spend A LOT of money, but I want something done right…so Im meeting half way and starting with text. I have lots of ideas…thinking about maybe eventually making it a sleeve of text? What does everyone think of that?
The first, is either the first quote, or…
“all work and no play makes jack a dull boy” Done in a “typewriter” kind of font, with a couple letters crooked.
Well, I have lots of ideas. For my first, I was thinking some kind of text.
“. . . nothing contributes so much to tranquillize the mind as a steady purpose . . .”

I am a huge classic horror fan (mainly 30’s and 40’s) so pretty much all my ideas have to do with horror.
