Ideally, it *should* be just you & a band jamming REAL hard & seeing what comes from it. Belting out in-your-face lyrics about something that makes you angry or frustrated. Forget love songs. Ok? Leave that to the emos….

But I agree if all they know is stuff like Stairway, Bohemian Rhapsody, Hotel California, Dream On, etc…they are Totally missing out on the great, sadly ignored deep cuts.
