It’s a good start. Keep working hard and you’ll keep progressing. Like those flowers though, eh?
Existisne? Do you exist? Existentialism is one of my favorite philosophies, so I don’t think it’s a bad idea. What I think is a bad idea is stopping at just one tattoo. I’m sure after you get it done, you will be addicted. Good luck with it.
His stuff has nice depth and the colors are vibrant. Good work. Go for it.
Some of my customers find watching a movie or listening to music with headphones on to be relaxing. I always recommend my customers eat something before the tattoo (don’t stuff yourself, last thing you need is to use the can during the tattoo, lol), drink plenty of fluids to keep you hydrated (Gatorade, or Powerade, but avoid energy drinks, they’ll burn you out). I also suggest they avoid drinking alcohol the night before, and don’t smoke weed (it can cause you to focus on the pain for one thing).
The numbing patches and creams don’t work from my experience.
Just stay calm and relaxed, bring a friend to talk to if you’re not a hand talker.
Good luck on your future ink sessions!
It happens to me the odd time, especially with my shirt off (I have an award-winning Fox tattoo on my back). But my wife on the otherhand, has people stop her all the time to check out the sleeve I did on her. Men just stare, maybe clarify that they think the tattoo is cool before I start the jealous husband bit. Women tend to stop her, sometimes actually reaching out and grabbing her arm, so they can get a better look at it. She used to be upset by it, because people are not exactly courteous about it, now she’s just use to it. Works as great advertisement for me. A friend has the same problem with a couple of the tattoos I did for him. To his advantage I guess since a girl he was interested in practically tore the shirt off of his back to see one of them. Another girl started caressing the Sagitarius on his arm while he was standing in line for coffee.
So I suppose whether or not it’s a good thing depends on the people involved.
